Your bistro in Amberg
A whiff of nostalgia blows over us as we enter the Teufelsbäck studio under the time-honored copper shield of the former Litten wine tavern. Under this impression we arrive at the guest room, which skilfully exudes a warm and cozy flair. Loving details such as historical photos of Amberg on the interior, modern photos of the city on the tables and small works of art in the effectively illuminated niches inspire us. The highlight, however, is the fascinating glass mosaic “Amirage” with a very special view of Amberg by the artists Marion Mack and Marcus Trepesch.
The counter is lovingly decorated with twitter box and tastefully presented wine of the week. Behind the bar, we discover an exquisite selection of Bavarian spirits that awaken even more feelings of home.
Passing originally designed washrooms, we finally enter the beer garden, which is the venue for numerous concerts in summer – true to the motto “Teufelsbäck LIVE”. The surrounding masonry is overgrown with ivy and small flower beds give off the air of a quiet oasis in the heart of the city. On two levels, you can find peace from everyday life with exuberant conversations.
A look at the lovingly designed menu reveals not only a wide range of wines, but also homemade dishes that make our mouths water. International cuisine meets regional delicacies, we even discover vegan meals.
