The Mariahilfberg has always been not only a place of pilgrimage but also a popular place of excursions. The Bergwirtschaft Amberg in the listed building offered refreshments for the visitors.

Freshly baked cakes, the legendary cream puffs or hearty dishes were served by the family business in rustic parlours or on the panorama terrace. Unfortunately, like the Bruckmüller Brauwirtshaus, the pub has been permanently closed since mid-2020.
