From Amberg, direct train connections bring you straight to the major cities of Nuremberg and Regensburg in just about an hour. Local bus transit is operated by the VGN network (Greater Nuremberg Transport Association), with numerous regional and city routes (including lines 401–408) departing right from the central bus station (ZOB). For up-to-date timetables, simply check the digital displays at the station or use the VGN app.

By car, you can reach the airport in about 45 minutes via the A6 toward Nuremberg. Alternatively, take the train from Amberg station to Nuremberg Central Station (approx. 1 hour), where you can catch the U2 subway line directly to the airport (approx. 12 minutes).
