Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel
Hotel Brunner is located just about 100 meters from Amberg train station and the central bus station (ZOB). Both stops are reachable within one to two minutes on foot – ideal for travelers without a car.
From Amberg, you can reach the major cities of Nuremberg and Regensburg by train in about an hour without changing trains. Bus services are organized through the VGN (Nuremberg Metropolitan Area Transport Association). Numerous regional and city bus lines (including lines 401–408) operate at the ZOB. Schedules are available on the digital display at the ZOB or via the VGN app.
Flughafen
The nearest airport is Nuremberg „Albrecht Dürer" Airport, approximately 58 km west of Amberg. The travel time via the A6 motorway is about 45 minutes.
You can reach the airport by car via the A6 towards Nuremberg in approximately 45 minutes. Alternatively, take the train from Amberg station to Nuremberg Central Station (approx. 1 hour) and from there take the U2 subway line directly to the airport (approx. 12 minutes). If desired, we can gladly arrange a transfer service for you – please speak to us at the reception.
Taxi
Since the hotel is only about 100 meters from the train station, most guests will not need a taxi. However, if you do require one, several local taxi companies are available. A taxi stand is located directly in front of the train station square.

Parken am Hotel
Our family-run hotel has an underground garage that is locked at night. Your vehicle will be safe and protected. Electric car drivers can conveniently charge overnight at our Wallbox. Our reception team will provide you with comprehensive information upon check-in, so you can arrive completely stress-free.
Access to the underground garage is via Ziegelgasse. Please note that the entrance is a bit narrow due to its location in the historic old town – swing out wide when entering with your vehicle. Alternatively, a nearby municipal parking garage is available within a few minutes' walk. For unloading, you can briefly park your vehicle in the designated parking spaces in front of the hotel on Batteriegasse.

Barrierefreie Anreise
Our hotel is located in a historic old town building. Step-free access to the reception and many floors is possible via the hotel's underground garage by elevator. Guests with limited mobility are kindly asked to contact us in advance so that we can optimally prepare for your arrival.
You can reach the reception as well as the first and second floors barrier-free via elevator from the underground parking garage. The main entrance on Batteriegasse is not barrier-free due to its historic structure. Guests with mobility impairments should please use the underground parking garage entrance via Ziegelgasse as a barrier-free access. Rooms suitable for wheelchairs with adapted bathrooms are not available. For individual arrangements, please contact us at 09621 4970.
