Achim Hüttner is a dedicated advocate: As a teacher, he inspired his students to embrace creativity and art. Through his role as chair of the “Menschengerechte Stadt Amberg” (Human-Centered City of Amberg) advocacy group, he opens citizens’ eyes and ears to the problems facing their hometown. Through his diverse body of work, the artist offers entirely new perspectives on humanity and life. No flood can wash away the traces he leaves in the sand of reality.

Dagmar Williamson studied art and art history at the Art Institute of San Francisco and worked for many years in the media industry in the United States and Germany. Her works combine alchemical motifs, tarot symbolism, and the power of the imagination—as an invitation to consciously shape one’s own reality. As an artist and consultant, she creates visual stimuli that promote protection, communication, and inner growth.

Daniel Pari is an Impressionist. He loves the magic and the loud silence of the moment. He is a master at capturing this momentum in his paintings. The vibrant shades of blue and red that dominate Daniel Paris’s artwork tell stories of the artist’s eventful past. And for those who cannot fully grasp his paintings, Daniel Paris’s uniquely crafted jewelry may prove to be a revelation. Extraordinary materials such as fire opals blend into an almost perfect symbiosis of painting and jewelry.

The artist Dorothea Prechtl has a unique way of bringing her works to life: dynamic brushstrokes, precise and distinctive colors, and an unerring sense of contrast. Her artworks draw inspiration from life, tell little stories, and combine a wide variety of stylistic elements into a fascinating experience. Her portfolio ranges from painting and object art to etchings and collages.

Evelyn Mulzer, an artist from Amberg, has already created several works for our hotel. Dynamism and lightness are recurring themes in her paintings. As a quiet observer, she finds the rhythmic language of nature and follows these impulses of movement.

Gerd Kaiser is an artist for art’s sake. A native of Amberg, he conceives his sculptural works according to a specific principle: mobile and unencumbered by pedestals, they offer viewers maximum freedom of interpretation. In this way, the artist evolved from creating simple pencil drawings to founding creative communities such as A.K.T. and KunstRaum.

Heike Lepke’s works are snapshots that are juxtaposed in multiple contrasting ways—in black and white, as a painted negative against the light, as an object brought to life. At first glance, the objects seem unremarkable, but through skillful angles and original arrangements, they give rise to vibrant compositions that, like a crescendo, are both stirring and moving. Through her interplay with color and light, she creates vibrant artistic experiences of a very special kind. And when she’s not painting, she performs “glass concerts” with her band “Zitrone 17.”

Could there be anything more beautiful than being able to express oneself freely and openly showcase what one stands for? Art makes this possible, and Lilian Kovacs embodies powerful images of women in all their facets. The artist’s works demonstrate in the most striking way that this strength can encompass not only pain, suffering, and struggle, but also joy and life.

It’s not that easy to describe Marcus Trepesch. In fact, you could call him a rock star among Amberg’s artists. His versatility, sense of humor, and creativity set him apart, as does his dedication to countless projects in the region. He is not only the chairman of the A.K.T. Kunstverein Amberg but also a co-founder of “Kunst im Hotel” and has designed many rooms at the Hotel Brunner.

Ever since completing her apprenticeship as a glass engraver at Rosenthal in Amberg, Marion Mack has been passionately working with glass. This passion deepened during her time at the design school in Zwiesel and her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Now back in her hometown, she has been working as a freelance artist at the Amberg Kunstkombinat since 2012. Shaped by personal experiences and perceptions, Mack’s works are unique and authentic.

Nina Ferstl holds a degree in communication design. Her works bear no resemblance to the rigidity implied by this professional title, as her paintings, designs, and graphics are vibrantly colorful, lively, and surprising. Her repertoire includes abstract artworks as well as portraits of well-known figures and drawings featuring motifs from Amberg. Nina Ferstl excels at capturing the liveliness of the moment, allowing the viewer to experience the scene firsthand.

Artist Stefan Stock runs what is arguably the most unusual studio. It’s piled high with discarded electronic devices, cables, and light bulbs. What appears chaotic at first glance reveals, upon closer inspection, the elements from which the artist creates his works. Touching and experimenting are not only encouraged but are also part of the experience of appreciating the art. Some projects even tell little stories and reveal their secrets with every click or press of a button.
