- Individual bookings (up to 4 rooms)
Unless otherwise specified in the booked rate, the following applies: Free cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before the day of arrival (applies only to non-guaranteed bookings). For guaranteed bookings (e.g., credit card guarantee or deposit), the right to the room remains valid even after 6:00 p.m.; please inform the hotel in case of late arrival. If cancellation occurs after the free cancellation period has expired or if the guest does not arrive (no-show), the hotel will charge 80% of the agreed price of the booked service for the stay, unless a lower amount of damages can be proven. The hotel will endeavor to re-rent the room; any expenses saved are included in the 80% charge.
Rebookings are possible, subject to availability and as long as the chosen rate allows; any price differences must be settled.
2. Group overnight stays (from 5 rooms)
Unless explicitly confirmed otherwise, the following free cancellation options apply to groups of 5 rooms or more, based on the originally confirmed total quota size:
• Up to 4 weeks before arrival: free of charge for bookings up to 100 %
• Up to 14 days before arrival: up to 50 % free of charge
• Up to 7 days before arrival: up to 25 % free of charge
• Up to 1 day before arrival: free of charge for bookings made up to 10 days in advance
Subsequent reductions will be charged at 80% of the agreed price. Additional services that were ordered but not utilized (e.g., coffee breaks, conference equipment) may be billed separately if they cannot be reused or resold. Refunds will be issued within 14 days via the same payment method used for the original payment, provided there are no legal grounds preventing this. In all other respects, the deadlines and principles set forth in Section 2 apply accordingly. - Check-in process

Autumn in Amberg

Discover Amberg in autumn
Amberg combines medieval history, culture and nature in a pleasantly compact setting. Explore the almost completely preserved town walls, the historic old town and the famous water gate known as the Stadtbrille on a leisurely walk. Public historical guided tours are held regularly in September and October and every other Saturday in November.
Until the end of October, you can also take a trip on a traditional Vils Plätte boat. The journey offers a different perspective of the town and the meadows along the River Vils, following a route between the old town and the former State Garden Show grounds.
For walks and shorter hikes, head along the River Vils, follow the approximately 3.5-kilometre Sculpture Trail or climb Mariahilfberg hill for sweeping views across Amberg. Those wishing to venture further afield will find numerous hiking trails through forests, valleys and the distinctive Jurassic landscape of the Upper Palatinate.
And should autumn show its rainy side, there is still plenty to discover indoors. The Air Museum, the Town Museum and Municipal Gallery, and Amberg Theatre are all within easy reach of the hotel. The theatre is one of the region’s best-known smaller venues, while the Air Museum surprises visitors with unusual exhibitions devoted entirely to the subject of air.
